As part of this year's Cooking to Learn lessons, we wanted to focus on healthy meals that are simple to prepare and to enjoy. This year, we are lucky to have Nurse Brooks in our classroom. When we were brainstorming ideas for our first cooking lesson, Nurse Brooks suggested making a chicken salad. The students cleaned and cut all of the vegetables, made marinade for the chicken, helped cook the chicken, and finally ate the meal! The cooking lesson included OT, Math, ELA, and Life Skills. It was fun to just wear my outfit again too. Comments are closed.
